Our business is seasonal, 6 months of the year. Can I split the yearly cost into 2 x 6 month periods?

Better solution for seasonal business is the PAYperUSE. Move away from yearly agreement, with PAYperUSE starts the service at season beginning and stop at end of season. So you pay for 6 months only.

I have a total of 14 units for the entire fleet. I buy 14 black boxes. I run 90 days. That’s 1,260 credits. Can I buy a bundle and split them?

YES, bundle of credits can be shared with the units of the fleet.

Can I use credits on a daily basis?

YES, you can master the credits use by starting and stopping the service based on your daily use or occupancy rate. You can use them during weekend only, or select specific day of the week. See following example with a fleet of 5 units in a week.


Can I use credits on a monthly basis?

YES, you can master the credits use by starting the service at the beginning of the season and stopping it at the end of the season. See following example with a fleet of 5 units and a season from Apr 1st to September 30th.

monthlyDo these credits expire?

YES, Credits stay valid for 1 year after last Credit use or recharge. So basically every time a credit is used or a recharge occurs life of all credits is extended of 1 year.  Good enough to ensure that spare credits stay valid for the following season. For example, if the season starts May1st and end September 30th, the spare credits will remain until reopening the following May.


Does your Digital Service Plan include SIM and Data Traffic Plan?

YES. We provide you with a Global SIM and the Data Plan is included. BlackBox comes with Global SIM already installed. No need for you to open the BlackBox to install the SIM, to look for SIM vendors and no extra charge for data traffic.


How does TimeLess Warranty works?

With TimeLess Warranty, we will replace the BlackBox in case of failure in normal use for entire duration of the Digital Service Plan. It automatically renews together with the Digital Service Plan. Such replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts, provided that the customer shall be responsible for any transportation and installation cost.

About TW order option, does it mean you loan the BlackBox for free, which needs to be returned at the end of the Digital Service Plan?

NO. By ordering PLAN TW we sell the BlackBox for free and it becomes your property. You don’t need to return it.


Is the BlackBox battery powered?

NO. The BlackBox is 8-32Vdc supplied, so no need to manage frequent expensive battery replacements. The BlackBox is provided with a rechargeable back-up battery to ensure data protection when the main power is off.

How difficult is the BlackBox to install ?

It’s a basic and very easy wire installation. If no output involved, it’s 3 wires only. No need to open the BlackBox to install the SIM, already included. No need to buy a SIM and activate a data plan, already included. Just install and power the BlackBox.

What I have to do to activate the BlackBox?

Nothing! The BlackBox comes already configured and activated. Just enter the credential on DOTMobile WebPortal or WebApp to see asset and enjoy DOTMobile.

Do I need to remove BlackBox from the boat in case to enable/disable special status or reprogram it?

NO. BlackBox is programmable by remote to take away all complexity and time-consuming operations to re-call Boats, remove onboard device, plug it to PC or mobile devices for updates.


Does the Global SIM operates in US only or other countries as well?

The SIM included in the Digital Service and already plugged into the BlackBox, is Global, meaning it works in several countries: US, Caribbean, Canada, Europe, South Africa, Australia, NewZealand just to name some of them. Basically the SIM automatically roams across cellular network by country, allowing owners to track and keep control of their assets when sailing to different countries.


Can I pay Credit Card?

YES. After Checkout the PayPal secured payment process will offer you to pay either with your PayPal account or with your Credit Card.

Do you have PayPal Credit?

YES. PayPal is now offering either Pay Now or Pay Over Time with PayPal Credit as indicated in the specific box at the end of Online Shop DOTMobile.


Does your offer includes both WebPortal and WebApp?

YES. Both multi-language WebPortal and WebApp are provided with non extra charge. You can access DOTMobile Watercraft Tracking from any fixed or mobile device connected to internet.

About the immobilizer feature…it’s seem slow to activate compared to other commands.

It’s a critical command which impact on safety. Prior to execute the command DOTMobile interacts with the BlackBox and check if key is off and JetSki, Boat or Yacht is stationary. Only when both conditions are confirmed by the BlackBox, than the command is executed. This is why it takes longer than other commands, but still in a range of 1 or 2 minutes.

Once clicked the immobilizer button, can I stop it prior to its activation?

  1. You can disable the Immobilizer once it has been activated only. Since immobilizer it’s critical for safety, NO unclear conditions are allowed. DOTMobile needs to make sure that the 2 conditions (ON,OFF) are clearly identified, completed and return to you. For this reason it’s possible to state that the Immobilizer is ON when the Blackbox is returning the specific ON message only. Cycle completed. You can now turn OFF the immobilizer, and it’s condition change only after the BlackBox return OFF message.

When you say alarms when one of my jetskis exceed speed limit, how the maximum speed is set?

You can set the maximum speed limit on DOTMobile WebPortal for each of your jetski.

How many geofences can be set?

Unlimited. Users can pin and drag  endless areas on the map to mark the passage of the JetSki, Boat or Yacht in a specific geographic zone, to control entry in risky areas. Alerts can be sent upon entering and/or leaving the fenced zone areas either to increase security and to improve operations by allowing fleet managers to anticipate preps for next customers once the current one is getting closer to the dock area.


When you say Navionics is included, does this mean I can view it via this mapping system on the app or portal or do I need a separate account with them?

YES, Navionics is included. No need of additional operation from your side.
